The Jump The Beach Mission Beach drop zone is situated in the picturesque beachside community of Mission Beach, so your tandem skydive takes you over fabulous views of tropical islands, and the Great Barrier Reef, wonderful pristine rainforest home to rare and endangered specias of bird The Cassowary. Mission Beach is approximately half way between Cairns and Townsville on Queensland’s north tropical coast in Australia. It is one of Queensland’s un-spoilt destinations with 14km of magnificent golden beaches and a backdrop of rainforest that comes right down to the beach. The beach is flat perfect for skydiving over and landing a parachute. The water shelves gently, making it safe for swimming; the waves are small as they are dampened by Dunk Island lying only 4km offshore.
The rainforest at Mission Beach has the highest diversity of habitat types in the Wet tropics and is the most important location in Australia for the endangered Southern Cassowary. It is also the gateway to the famous Dunk and Bedarra Islands, and only 50mins away from the Great Barrier Reef.
Dunk Island is only a short ferry ride away, and Mission Beach is also the best place to try white water rafting on the Tully River, so why not spend a few days in this tropical paradise?
