 Mission
Beach is approximately half way between
Cairns and Townsville on Queenslands
north tropical coast in Australia. It
is one of Queenslands unspoilt destinations
with 14km of magnificent golden beaches
and a backdrop of World Heritage listed
rainforest to explore. The beach is flat
perfect for skydiving over and
landing a parachute. The water shelves
gently, making is safe for swimming, the
waves are small as they are dampened by
Dunk Island lying only 4km offshore.
The rainforest at Mission Beach has the
highest diversity of habitat types in
the Wet tropics and is the most important
location in Australia for the endangered
Southern Cassowary.
It is also the gateway to the famous
Dunk and Bedarra Islands, and only 50mins
away from the Great Barrier Reef. So,
in addition to experiencing an unforgettable
tandem skydive with Jump the Beach, Mission
Beach has plenty of other attractions
for you to explore.
